Over the next five years, personalized medicines in development are expected to increase to nearly 70%, according to the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development (TCSDD), potentially improving drug safety and efficacy and also the likelihood of approval. Genomic-guided or supported drug development is a new paradigm requiring companies to think beyond traditional drug development models.
