Dr. Richard A. Bankowitz is Executive Vice President for Clinical Affairs at America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP). In this role, he works closely with the clinical leaders of AHIP’s member plans to promote high-value health care for consumers. A board-certified internist and medical informaticist, Dr. Bankowitz has devoted his career to improving healthcare quality at the national level by promoting rigorous, data-driven approaches to quality improvement and by engaging senior clinicians and healthcare leaders.
