Dr. Caroline Kurtz is Head of Translational Sciences at Synlogic. Previously, Caroline was a Vice President at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, where she led the development of linaclotide (LINZESS®). Prior to her role at Ironwood, Caroline served as Director of Infectious Diseases at GelTex/Genzyme, where she led discovery of novel polymeric anti-infective compounds. Caroline received her Ph.D. in immunology from Harvard University and post-doctoral training at the University of Utah.
